Best Seats (Field Chapionship Seats 1-52). Each one of these 52 seats goes for $400 for a single game. You read that correctly; it costs $400 to see the Yankees from Rudy Giuliani seats. That's a lot of scratch. If you spring for the 81-game seasons package, however, you'll get a steep discount. Games are then just $150 a pop. The full package will run a fanatic couple a cool $24,350.
Cheapest Seats at Yankee Stadium: Sections 37 and 39 of the right field bleachers. For $12, these seats might be the best bargain in sports. That's because for a little more than a saw buck, you get to watch your team with the small army of diehard "Bleacher Creatures," a group best known for singing raunchy little ditties and for their roll call of all of the Yankees once they take the field in the top of the first inning. This is the clan that invented "Hip-Hip-Jorge," which has to be one of the funnier cheers in baseball.
Main Reserved MVP Seats at Yankee Stadium. These seats will run you $71 bucks for a single game, but they provide magnificent views of the filed from behind home plate and down the first and thrid base lines. They are also covered by the next higher level, which comes in very handy during those rain-soaked April games. It does get hotter in there come Augut, though. Still, if you buy a package plan, prices drop t0 $61, and if you get a full season, the average game is just $56. Which still will cost you $4,536 per ticket, or $9,072 for a pair.
Reasonably Priced Yankee Tickets. These days, if you want to see the Yankees without taking out a seond mortgage, you either need to snag a Bleacher Creature bench spot (which go fast), or you can try out the nose-bleeders in section 1-36. Yeah, you'll be in danger of getting hit by a low flying blimp, but you'll have an unobstructed bird's eye view of the game. It' a good place for those who like to talk about how much they love the strategy of the game. Well, you'll see strategy alright, but you ain't gonna see A-Rod's face. But, on the bright side, these tickets run aywhere from 17-20 bucks a game. Believe it or not, on a nice sunny May afternoon, these may be the best seats in the house. Bring the binoculars, though.
The Luxury Boxes at Yankee Stadium. In their last year at the real Yankee Stadium, the Yankees are once again offering a dozen corporate luxury boxes. There are still a few available, but their price tag is available only to those with serious corporate inquiries.
